Faingaa: Impressive display
Western Force have been left rooted to the bottom of the Super 14 standings after they were blown away 50-10 by the impressive Reds.
A masterclass of rampant running rugby in the first half put the game out of sight for the Queenslanders - with five tries in the opening period for the home side in Brisbane.
And although only two tries followed after the interval, the job was already done by the Reds.
Working off the dominance up front of their pack, the Reds back division were able to cut loose in devastating fashion.
The centre pairing of Anthony Faingaa and Digby Ioane stole the show with two tries apiece - with Quade Cooper influential as ever at fly-half.
"We spoke about setting a platform and giving myself and Quade the space to work with and they did that," Reds captain Will Genia said.
"I thought we managed the game really well and came away with the points."
Flanker Scott Higginbotham also crossed for a brace, while winger Luke Morahan scored once in the comprehensive rout. Cooper landed 13 points with the boot, while replacement Ben Lucas also slotted over a late conversion.
Nick Cummins scored the only try for the Force - albeit off a suspiciously forward-looking pass - with James O'Connor slotting over the conversion and a penalty.
"Quite simply the first half just killed us," Force captain Nathan Sharpe said. "You're playing catch up football when you're 30 points behind at half-time."
