New Zealand beat South Africa to claim a 16th straight Test victory
New Zealand claimed a 16th straight Test win with a 32-16 victory over South Africa in Soweto.
The result completed a perfect 12 months for the world champions, who have won all their Tests since lifting the Webb Ellis Trophy on home soil.
The All Blacks took full advantage of an 11-3 penalty count as they ran in four tries to the Springboks' one, with Dan Carter contributing 12 points with the boot.
New Zealand had already wrapped up the inaugural Rugby Championship title with five wins from five outings.
South Africa led 10-0 after a 13th-minute try from wing Brian Habana, before lock Sam Whitelock and scrum-half Aaron Smith cut the deficit to 16-12 at the break.
The second half was dominated by the world champions as they racked up 20 unanswered points.
Centres Ma'a Nonu and Conrad Smith crossed for tries in the first 12 minutes of the second period as New Zealand claimed a bonus point to rub salt in the Boks' wounds.
With the All Blacks dominating possession and territory, Carter's boot kept the Springboks frustrated as New Zealand wrapped up an ultimately comfortable victory.
It was skipper Richie McCaw's 100th win in his 112 Tests to date.
