Damien Larrieu: Opened the scoring for Bordeaux-Begles against London Irish
Jonathan Joseph: Notched a try as London Irish beat Bordeaux-Begles 17-7
London Irish ended their Amlin Challenge Cup Pool One campaign on a high with a 17-7 home victory over French side Bordeaux-Begles.
Tries from Jonathan Joseph and Marland Yarde saw the Exiles cement second place behind Gloucester and record their fourth victory in this season's tournament.
With nothing to play for but pride at the Madejski Stadium, it was the visitors who opened the scoring on 10 minutes when Damien Larrieu notched the first try.
But the hosts hit back when full-back Joseph scored his own touchdown to draw his side level. Steven Shingler then added a penalty as the Exiles went into the break with a slender 10-7 advantage.
After the interval, the visitors could have gone ahead but fly-half Nicolas Sanchez missed a penalty and then a drop-goal attempt.
They were made to pay when Yarde scored the Exiles' second try, which Shingler converted to condemn the rock-bottom visitors to their sixth straight defeat in this season's tournament.
