Leinster secured their place in the quarter-finals of the Heineken Cup with a 36-3 bonus-point victory over Ospreys at the RDS.

Needing just a match point to top Pool 1, Leinster always looked set to qualify against the struggling Ospreys, but the visitors did themselves no favours when Ian Evans was sent off for stamping in a maul after 19 minutes.

The scores were locked at 3-3 at the time but Leinster went on to score two penalty tries with further scores from Cian Healy, Jordi Murphy and Isaac Boss. Jimmy Gopperth kicked four conversions and a penalty.
