Jessica Judd continued her fine form in cross country this winter with a battling third place in Sheffield at the weekend.
Fresh from her victory in Cardiff two weeks ago, the 22-year-old Sky Academy Scholar was at it again at Graves Park in the BUCS Cross Country Championships.
Judd, Rebecca Murray and Emily Hosker-Thornhill led the pack for the first half of the race, only for Murray to pull away and finish top of the podium.
It was, though, another encouraging performance from Judd. The 1500m runner said: "It was a really tough course and was fast from the start so I was so happy to finish as high up as I did behind great competition!
"I gave it everything and felt I ran well on the mud and the hills so I was really happy with my run. Loughborough managed to win the team competition too so that was just amazing to be able to contribute to that.
"I've got a couple more cross country races but at the moment I'm just going to get back into training and try to do some speed work in this phase."
Judd will next compete in a 3K road race on February 16 with the national championships at the end of the month in Nottingham.
