The Sky Academy Sports Scholar will make up part of a 11-strong team including the likes of Olympic gold medallist Nicola Adams and world championship bronze medallist Anthony Fowler.
There will be high hopes for Marshall as the reigning world middleweight champion but much will depend on whether she has been able to fully overcome a shoulder injury that led to her missing the European Championships in May.
Team England finished third in the boxing medal table in 2010 with medals for the likes of Anthony Ogogo and Callum Smith and Chairman of England Boxing, Casper Hobbs is confident that the team can repeat that success.
“We are fortunate to have a very good crop of talent in English boxing right now and the men and women that have been selected should be very proud of their achievement in making it into the team and having the opportunity to represent England at the Commonwealth Games," he said.
“English boxers have a very good track record at the Commonwealth Games and we are hopeful that this team can continue that success and emulate the achievements of previous England teams."
