Olivia Breen has been included in 56-strong Great Britain squad to compete at the IPC European Championships in Swansea next month.

The 17-year-old athlete has been selected for both the T38 100m and the long jump and will join up with a team containing 10 current Paralympic and world champions.

Paralympic head coach Paula Dunn is encouraged by the team that GB will are able to field and, in particular, the mix of youth and experience.

“The IPC Athletics European Championships in Swansea is vitally important in the development of the team over the course of the next few years," she told the British Athletics official website.

"There are a number of familiar faces once again in the team, but also what is encouraging is the emerging talent breaking into the ranks, which puts us in a really strong position moving forwards."

For now though Breen's focus is on the Commonwealth Games where she will represent Wales in the long jump on Sunday, aiming to make an impact in her first year doing the event.
