Rob Denmark, coach of Sky Academy Sports Scholar Jessica Judd, has joined the British Athletics Endurance Programme as a national institute coach.

A former long distance runner and 5000m Commonwealth champion in 1994, Denmark will join up with head of endurance Barry Fudge in Loughborough full-time and be in communication with both Steve Cram and Paula Radcliffe, key advisors to the programme.

"I'm delighted to have been given this opportunity and it's one that I'm really looking forward to," he said.

"This summer we have seen British athletes reaping the rewards of the British Athletics Endurance Programme which certainly bodes well for the next few years."

Denmark is already supported by the Coaching Development Programme, established by Sky Academy Sports Scholarships earlier this year.
