The last race of the season was a couple of weeks ago and it was by far the most important- the World Championships.
It was an honour to have been selected as a first year senior. The course wasn't suited to me but that didn't stop me giving it my all to help the team.
The plan for me was to help in the first 50km of the race, which was flat. I did what I needed to do by bringing Lizzie to the front, and staying at the front to help control the race if needs be.
My race was over when we got to the climbs but I was happy to come away from the race knowing I had done my job, having gained experience and knowing where I need to be in order to contest with the very best women.
Since the race I haven't been on the bike as my off season has started so I will now have a month off the bike to catch up with friends and family and look forward to catching up with other Sky Scholars and following their results/seasons.
