Jessica Judd: Hopes that training at altitude will help her as the season goes on

So it's almost the end of my trip to America and I can't believe how quickly four weeks have gone!

It's been such an amazing experience and I'm excited to come back and do it all over again.

I travelled out to Park City on the 1 May and settled in really quickly. There's been a fairly large group of us out here and over the past couple of weeks we've spent a lot of time together and I've made really good friends with all the athletes.

It's been brilliant to train with elite athletes and the mindset that you get from being in this environment is totally different from at home.

Training has been going really well. It's always easier running in nice weather, so I've benefited from that massively.

Park City has been a great place to train, the people here are really fit and lead healthy lifestyles so it rubs off on us all which is really good. While out here we've seen eagles, moose and lots of deer - it has been very different from home!

I'm sad to leave, but excited to race at Eugene and hopefully I'll put in a good performance. It's a very long season so I'm taking every race as it comes but hopefully I can gain crucial experience.

It will be nice to come home from America and see my family, and hopefully I've gained lots of physiological benefits from being at altitude for so long.
