Good times ahead
Tubes gets ready for a busy few weeks
Last updated: 02nd September 2010
I might have to spend a bit more than the usual 20 minutes coming up with my rap because on the same day that I meet the Anchorman star, I'll also be spitting lyrics at Mark Wahlberg and... wait for it... Eva Mendes!

Quotes of the week
There wasn't much to get excited about on transfer deadline day for Chelsea fans, but I was still glued to Sky Sports News!
The whole Ryan Babel in a helicopter flying to London to talk to West Ham was great entertainment, but I think Tottenham probably pulled of the signing of the day bringing in Rafael van der Vaart... albeit a day late!
Alex Hleb to Birmingham was also a great bit of business by Alex McLeish. It didn't really work out for him at Barcelona but he showed his quality at Arsenal for a few seasons.
Chelsea have been big spenders over the years but I wasn't surprised that Roman Abramhovich failed to get his cheque book out this time.
After bringing in Ramires Carlo Ancelotti said he was happy with the squad so I didn't expect anyone else to come in, but I think we could've done with getting another striker in.
There's no doubt we've got a really good squad right now, but I'd be worried if Didier Drogba or Nicolas Anelka got injured. Thankfully they're both fighting fit at the moment and it was another good victory against Stoke on Saturday.
Annoyingly I missed the first ten minutes of the game because of the oyster card style system at Stamford Bridge for season ticket holders. The queues were ridiculous, but it did mean I also missed Frank Lampard's penalty miss... so in hindsight it wasn't all bad!
Hilarious
It's been a quiet week on the junket front, but I'll be more than making up for it over the next couple of weeks.
First up is actor John C Reilly! I've interviewed him once before and he was hilarious - unfortunately most of what he said couldn't go to air!
He was with Will Ferrell last time and they were coming out with the most mental stuff. Hopefully I can use a bit more of what they say this time because I've also got a junket with Ferrell the week after!
In fact I might have to spend a bit more than the usual 20 minutes coming up with my rap because on the same day that I meet the Anchorman star, I'll also be spitting lyrics at Mark Wahlberg and... wait for it... Eva Mendes!
The other three might be great actors but I don't think I have to tell you which one I'm most looking forward to!
Fit
It's going to be really tough to top meeting one of the fittest actresses around, but I think I might be able to!
Next week I'll be jumping into a helicopter piloted by the one and only Les Ferdinand!
I have no idea where we are going other than up in the air, or what I'll be talking to him about, but one things for sure, I won't be doing anything to distract him!
Later,

Tubes answers your questions
TUBESSSSSSSSSSSSSS! Loving your one question this year! What I want to know is would you ever consider growing a moustache like Jason Schwartzman?Richard Northall (Manchester United fan)
Tubes replies:Good question Richard, I think I'd possibly do it for charity but if I'm honest any sort of facial hair really irritates my baby oil skin. I'm a bit like Teen Wolf when it comes to body hair so I have to shave everyday which is really annoying, but I think the clean shaven look is the way forward... if nothing else it makes my fat face look a bit thinner!
Yes, yes Tubes! There have been some Unbelievable Tekkers already this season but what I want to know is what is the best Unbelievable Tekkers you have ever seen?Paul Adey (Bristol City fan)
Tubes replies:Two really standout for me Paul. Gianfranco Zola's back-heel into the roof of the net from a corner against Norwich a few seasons back and Michael Essien's unbelievable hit against Arsenal a couple of years ago.
Hi Tubes, you guys are always around footballers so what I want to know is do you think spot fixing happens in football like in cricket? I've seen some really dodgy yellow cards over the years and it makes me wonder...Jason Charles (Arsenal fan)
Tubes replies:I don't think so Jason because footballers earn so much money it's not really worth their while. I can't imagine any top pros risking their career like that. That said I always find it funny when players try to get themselves deliberately booked when they're one yellow card away from a suspension and have a two legged tie all wrapped up in the first game. But then I don't think that's technically against the rules.
Have you got one question and one question only for Tubes!? Ask the lyrical genius anything you want in the comments section below and he'll answer the best ones next week!
