Quotes of the week
Steve is quids again this week after winning the Grand National office sweepstake... albeit by default.
With 40 runners and only 15 of us, there were a few horses still left in the hat after the draw, including the winner. No one picked out Mon Mome, but Steve's horse finished second so he took all the spoils - which is great except not everyone has paid up.
It has obviously just slipped their minds, and luckily for them Steve has a list of all their names and will be sending 'the boys' around to collect his winnings in the next couple of days!
Meanwhile, Bobbie walked into the office on Tuesday looking like he had already had a visit from one of Steve's henchmen.
Speaking through the side of his mouth, it looked as though he had taken an almighty whack or as Lisa suggested, 'someone whose botox has gone bit wrong'. But Bobbie maintains it's all down to a visit to the dentist and a painful filling. We believe you Bob... thousands wouldn't.
If that wasn't bad enough he also had a bit of scare on Sunday morning when he woke up and popped on his glasses, but couldn't see a thing.
He quickly took them off and discovered his vision had improved tenfold and came to the conclusion that the previous nights drinking had corrected his eyesight. A few minutes later it dawned on him that he had just fallen asleep with his contact lenses still in!
Outside of the office and Dave still hasn't managed to get a TV for his new flat, despite going all the way to Barking to find one after seeing a promising advert in the paper.
"I saw one TV and the price next to it said £499," he explained. "And then this guy comes up to me and says, 'I can do that for £199 now'. It just felt wrong, it was too cheap."
"Plus, any shop where you have to ring a bell before you go in can't be right."
With no TV, Dave got all nostalgic and decided to watch a DVD of the 1966 World Cup final on his laptop. He enjoyed it so much he watched the whole thing again the following day, but still found time to sit through yet another romantic comedy with his girlfriend!

Especially considering his girlfriend once told Trev that Dave's favourite film is 40 First Dates!
Case closed!
See you next week.
