Easter exploits
"I wasn't even going that fast but I spun out at a round-a-bout. I held it together quite well and got him to the tournament with 15 minutes to spare so he was alright about it. And he gave me £50."

James
Quotes of the week

James spent the Easter weekend earning some cash as a cab driver, though it's unclear if Max will be employing his services again!

Max eagerly accepted James' offer to take him to his annual golf tournament for less than half the price quoted by his local cab firm, however the wet conditions left the pair in something of a spin - quite literally!

"It was quite wet and he wouldn't stop talking," recalled James. "I wasn't even going that fast but I spun out at a round-a-bout.

"I held it together quite well and got him to the tournament with 15 minutes to spare so he was alright about it. And he gave me £50."

It was also an eventful Easter weekend for the rest of the Soccer AM crew who took full advantage of the Bank Holiday to eat, drink and, er, watch chick flicks.

Chris was holed up in a restaurant for most of the weekend taking full advantage of the 'all you can eat' offer - a decision which, despite some side-effects, he refused to regret.

"I went to an all you can eat roast dinner place and ate so much I wouldn't let anybody talk to me in case I was sick," he said. "I felt really ill but I loved it. I just really fancied it."

Meanwhile, Simon, criticised for his eager anticipation of the imminent release of the new Star Trek film and recent revelation that he was part of his school bridge team, won the respect of the crew by announcing that he spent Sunday night getting 'acquainted' with a 28-year-old city banker.

Big Ange

Big Ange had a less successful evening. After watching Chelsea with his brother Tubes and being asked for a photo for the second time-ever ("I've perfected my smile for the camera - just pull the stupidest face I can") his evening took a turn for the worse when he headed out in the evening to meet up with some of the other Soccer AM crew.

"I went to the pub in Clapham we were meeting in but couldn't see them when I arrived. I phoned them up and they said they were upstairs. I looked round and couldn't see any stairs and the bar manager told me there wasn't one.

"We had a bit of an argument before I realised he probably wasn't lying to me. Turns out there are two pubs with the same name in Clapham and I went to the wrong one.

"I had to walk up the street to the right one and by that time they had all gone, so it was a bit of a rubbish evening really!"

Film fun

Dave had a much better weekend. First, entering into the full spirit of Easter, he joined a bunch of children on an Easter egg hunt before tuning into 'My Best Friend's Girl'. "It was really good, I would recommend it," he enthused.

Bobbie, meanwhile, passed on the chick flick choices for some classic children's movies, and particularly enjoyed Bedknobs and Broomsticks. "It was the first time I'd seen it, I was really impressed!"
