Q & A with Max
Last updated: 25th March 2009
At the start of the season, I wasn't interested at all. But as we grow together, I think there's something there. I let Helen stroke my head now. But obviously I'm too professional to act on it.

Quotes of the week
Hi folks,
as you probably know, I say yes to anyone who asks to be my friend on Facebook. So far, around four and a half thousand of you are in. I try to reply as much as I can - but if I replied to everyone I might not get out of the house.
So I thought I'd put a selection of popular/random posts up on the blog this week - and try to answer them, if answer is the right word. There are plenty that aren't repeatable, so I won't put them up.
Jordan: Are you really Max Rushden from Soccer AM?
Max says: Yes. Although I'm not really sure how to prove it.
Sam: Hey Max I've got one question. Marmite do you love it or hate it?
Max says: Hate it. But I quite like Twiglets. And a spoonful in a Bolognese works a treat.
Mark: Hey Max, how you doing mate... on the soccerette part of the show, if you were a soccerette, what would your skill be?
Max says: Pointing.
Ali: Hi mate cheers for the add, just wondering what's Tubes' real name?
Max says: Pete.
Ross: You idiot. Why do you never write back to anyone?
Max says: Sometimes I've got stuff to do. Like laundry for example.
Rachel: Hi Max, big fan of the show I just want you to tell Baby Elvis I think he is well fit.
Max says: Ok. I'll let him know.
Ben: I think you should have a show just with you on about pointing at things :) well funny.
Max says: Brilliant idea. I've forwarded your requests to the producer.
Sam: Can you mention me on the show on Saturday?
Max says: A lot of people ask for this, and while it would be nice, if you think about it - reeling off a list of a thousand names would be pretty boring and then you wouldn't enjoy the show and then it wouldn't exist and then I wouldn't have a job and then we'd all be disappointed. So no. Sorry.
Charles: Nice one Max, I've finally warmed to you.
Max says: Thanks. Better late than never.
Greg: DO YOU FANCY HELEN? I CAN SEE A SPARK?????????
Max says: Helen and I discussed this in the office this week. At the start of the season, I wasn't interested at all. But as we grow together, I think there's something there. I let her stroke my head now. But obviously I'm too professional to act on it.
Ed: Try and get U2 on the sofa. They're in the UK cos of their tour, and they're sort of in the UK anyway, cos they are Irish. But that's not the point. They're a great band.
Max says: I couldn't agree more. I'll make sure Trev rings them up this week and gets them on the sofa on Saturday.
Christopher: STOP WEARING CARDIGANS.
Max says: I don't dress myself - although I'm actually wearing one today (it's a Tuesday).
Sean: Do you like Zombies?
Max says: I haven't really given it a lot of thought, but not really. I don't like zombie films much if that's any indication.
Aaron: Max you stayed in Istanbul? So you didn't have to do A Levels?
Max says: I don't understand this question. I've never been to Istanbul. I do have some A Levels.
Adam: Do you realise you have more friends than Obafemi Martins?
Max says: *laugh* I didn't know that.
Kuldip: You look like a Plum. No offence Mwahahahahaha
Max says: Ok.
Hope that answers your questions. I reckon I'll put up the best post of the week at the bottom of my blog. But I promise to write about football next week.
Have a good one. See you Saturday.
