A cracking Christmas
Last updated: 28th December 2007
Christmas was really good. I spent it at home with the family, which basically means just chilling out, eating loads of food, washing it down with a couple of drinks and opening presents.
My mum bought me a horrible red jumper, but she got me some other good stuff - including a Shoot annual from back in the day which is pretty cool.
I also got a couple of nice jumpers, apart from the red one which is rank. I didn't say that to Mum but she could tell by my face that I wasn't overly impressed.
She just laughed it off and told me to go and change it.
We usually pop down to the local before Christmas dinner, but we didn't bother this year. We just stayed in and did what most families do at Christmas - there were no board games though.
Everyone played cards on Boxing Day - apparently! I wasn't there as I was busy at work preparing stuff for the show.
We usually play Chase the Ace which is quite fresh even though I'm rubbish.
I missed the 4-4 thriller at the Bridge of course - and what a game to miss out on! It's not looking good with all the injuries we have and the players we have going to the African Nations Cup...
We'll still win the league though!
I haven't made any New Years Eve plans as I'm not sure if I'm working yet. I just go with the flow anyway - it's not really a big thing for me.
Last year I went to a Disco Inferno Night where everyone was wearing afro wigs and flares - that was quite interesting.
I'm taking one for the team this week as I mucked up my question last week. They tried to get me a couple of weeks ago, saying I mucked up but I didn't.
But I have no excuses this time. It will be Dave, Chris and the new boy James having a shot at me! James is quite nifty so I'm a bit worried about him, but I'm more glad that Rocket's not taking one as he's really good.
Talking of Rocket - how close was our little Skill Skool battle in the Xmas show? To be honest I think Rocket should have won, but he's been alright about it to be fair!
