Third time lucky?
Seeing my inner Sumo Wrestler coming out has forced me into action!

Quotes of the week

Well there's only one place to start this week, but I'm not going to say too much on the subject because I don't want to jinx anything!

Chelsea are through to the semi-finals of the Champions League and for the third time they will face Liverpool! Obviously the last two times we've played them things haven't gone too well, but I'm hoping for a better outcome this time.

I went to the game against Fenerbahce last night and I thought we did ok. It was a professional performance and the main aim was just to get through, which we achieved.

I'm not going to make any predictions about the semi-final though because the last couple of times I've done that I've been slated by my Liverpool mates!

The only thing I will say is that playing the second leg at Stamford Bridge could be massive for us.

Back to last week and I was sitting at home one day and I realised that... well I'm getting a bit fat!

My dodgy ankle has meant that I haven't been able to play any kind of football recently and so I haven't really done any exercise, but seeing my inner Sumo Wrestler coming out has forced me into action!

I decided that although it may be a bit soon to kick a football I can still do some running, so I've been hitting the treadmill hard ever since, trying to get rid of the sumo!

Some of my good work was undone on Saturday night though when I went to my mate Dan's house warming party. It must have been a great night because I didn't get home until 5am!

That meant that Sunday was largely a right-off, but I spent it the only way you should spend a Sunday... in the pub watching the football!

As I mentioned before I haven't kicked a ball in anger for quite a while because of my ankle, but I'm hoping to make my comeback at Gigg Lane in a couple of weeks!

The home of Bury FC will be the venue for the most eagerly anticipated match ever, as Soccer AM take on Forever Bury FC! Ok maybe not, but it will still be pretty cool to play there.

Along with all the boys in the Office, the Soccer AM team will also be made up of a couple of former pro's, who have graced the orange sofa over the years, including David Thompson, so I can't wait for that - ankle permitting obviously.

The only other thing to report this week is that my move to South London is still very much on, but we're we're just waiting on the fourth person to confirm before we can fully get the wheels in motion... so hurry up Bondy!

Later,
