A game of two halfs

Luzhniki Stadium: pole position

Everyone over there seemed to have a mullet, it was great! I might even go and live there!

Quotes of the week

I know it's a massive cliché, but football really is a game of two half's, and the Champions League final proved that.

I'm still pretty devastated by Wednesday night's result because we were so close to becoming European Champions.

I'm gutted for John Terry as well, but no one will be blaming him for missing that penalty because he's an absolute hero.

The game itself was a great one from a neutrals perspective I guess, although that's not much consolation right now.

I thought Man Utd were definitely the better side in the first half and if I'm honest we could quite easily have been out of it at half time. But second half was a completely different story and I think overall we deserved to win.

It's always tough to lose a game on penalties because it is such a lottery, but I'm proud of how the team played and I'm sure we'll comeback better and stronger next season.

The result aside, it was great experience to go to Russia and even though the weather was really gloomy and some of the places looked a bit sketchy it was an alright place.

We left Gatwick airport at about 2am on Wednesday morning so we got to Moscow pretty early. The best thing about the place was the amount of Mullets I saw!

Everyone over there seemed to have a mullet, it was great! I might even go and live there!

Before the match I found myself in my favourite kind of bar... a really dingy one! There were loads of Chelsea and United fans in there and lot's of banter flying around, but it was all good humoured.

The Luzhniki Stadium was great as well. It was a proper old school eastern European stadium with rubbish seats which you could only fit half your backside on, it's was brilliant.

We had some really good seats, except for the fact that there were four big poles in our way! They didn't hinder our view too much but when you've paid 150 a ticket you expect a bit more!

The result aside it was great experience... bring on next season!
