Quotes of the week

Tuesday night's game against Liverpool was unbelievable!

I nearly had about three heart attacks as Liverpool nearly turned over our 3-1 first leg lead.

I expected Chelsea to defend all game and end up drawing 0-0. I definitely wasn't expecting a 4-4 draw!

It was a weird game, but then they are always weird games when we play Liverpool.

Their first goal, Fabio Aurelio's free-kick, was a real fluke but when we went 2-0 down I was sitting there thinking 'oh here we go'.

We showed good character, though, and it was a good game, I thought. I guess if you concede four goals at home its poor defending but we also scored four, so credit to the forwards.

Frank Lampard was awesome again. He was the King of Chelsea on Tuesday night.

I'm not likely to forget that game anytime soon.

Now we've got Barcelona. I'll be working so unfortunately I can't get out there but I will be glued to my TV biting my nails.

People are saying Barcelona are favourites but they're a bit of a weird team.

Sometimes Barca look like the best team in the world, sometimes they clam up and look rubbish. It all depends on how the night goes, we could get thrashed or we could win 3-0. The most important thing is we get an away goal, like we did at Anfield.

Rapping to Terry

I was down at Chelsea's training ground last Friday doing some stuff for Soccer AM and I bumped into my hero John Terry.

He got their masseur Bill 'blood' McCulloch to write a rap for me. Bill's a bit of a lad and me and Big Ange, the double team, rapped to Terry and Ashley Cole. Terry gave me his shirt from the Liverpool game. He's a top bloke.

Talking of cool guys, this week I interviewed Hugh Jackman. I've not seen many of his films but he's probably the coolest guy I've met. Turns out he's a Norwich City fan!

It was really weird. He knew everything about them. He kept talking about Carrow Road and said derby games with Ipswich were the best in the world. "They are football," he said.

I enjoyed the show on Saturday. I really like The Enemy so it was good to have them on again.

Some of you might have noticed I tried the 'dead weight' trick when Scott Quinnell grabbed me - it was no good. In the end I was clinging on to him like a Koala bear.

He must be strong if he can lift me, I'm about 28 stone.

Tubes answers your questions

You've got long hair, you deserve a place on the comfy chair, reee-wind....comfy hair...oooh Lionel Messi lyrics!! Tubes you're a great guy and a really funny man but what I wanna know is....Who has been your favourite guest on soccer am?Brian Cronin (Liverpool fan)

TUBES SAYS:Interesting rap Brian, I like it. Noel Gallagher or Paul Gascoigne have probably been my favourite guests. Gazza's on again this weekend and I can't wait. Noel Gallagher's a funny fella. He's cool, makes good music and is a bit of a geezer, what more could you want?

Your Name Is Tubes, Oh My God I Love My Food, ooooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhh Chic-ken Curry. Your A Great Guy, And I Think Your Funny. But What I Want To Know Is: If You Could Have A Special Power What Would It Be And Why?Jordan Camacho (Barcelona fan)

TUBES SAYS:Hmmm. I wish I could fly. That way I could have cheap holidays whenever I wanted. I could just fly off to the Caribbean for a few weeks now and then. I could fly over to the Nou Camp in a couple of week's time to cheer the boys on against Barcelona. That would be wicked, actually.

Your lyrics are sick, like the wick of a candle, people find them too hot to handle, oooooh fire safety. But what I want to know is: what's the best river in the world?Steve Bails (Nottingham Forest fan)

TUBES SAYS:Nice rhymes Steve. How weird you should ask that. One of my questions to Hugh Jackman today was where's the best place you've been? He said some river in Australia. I can't remember what it was called now but apparently it was pretty good. He said you could surf on it which sounds a bit weird. I didn't know you could surf rivers - I thought you needed waves? Anyway, I can't say that one, I've never seen it.

I think my best river would probably have to be the River Mole in Cobham. I don't know why. It's one of two rivers I know in the world. The other one is the Thames, if you wanted to know.

howdy tubes, i too am very excited for the barca games, just wondering who you think should step in for ashley cole to tame messi? my personal vote would be for essien to bison him good like he did to stevie g, maybe people would take more notice of him if he outplayed two of the worlds best players... i guess wed need all hands on deck in the midfield against xavi iniesta and toure but maybe start mikel in holding mf and deco on the bench perhaps (always good for a player to have a point to prove against a former club!) thoughts?
