Scar tissue

A night of headbanging

Quotes of the week

You'll have to bear with me this week because my memory is a little hazy... and not for the reason you would think!

It was my cousin's stag-do over the weekend and we had a great time but it ended pretty painfully after I fell out of bed and cut my head open.

Admittedly, me falling out of a bed at 5 in the morning is a pretty funny image, but my head has been aching ever since so I should probably get it checked out. I thought pouring a bit of menthol shower gel into the wound would do the trick, but it really hasn't!

I felt so rough on Sunday morning that I had to give up my Chelsea Arsenal ticket to Big Ange. It was a great game to go to in the end because we won 4-1, but it was a bit of a strange one as well with neither team really having a lot to play for.

Superb

I thought Nicolas Anelka played superb up front alongside Didier Drogba and I really do think we should play 4-4-2 more often because together they're a real handful.

There's been a lot of speculation about Carlo Ancelotti taking over at the Bridge next season, but I'd like to see Guus Hiddink stay on. I've got nothing against Ancelotti, he's a great manager and clearly knows how to win the Champions League, but Hiddink has been brilliant since he came in.

Obviously he still has a contract with Russia, but I don't see why he couldn't do both jobs. He's done it before with PSV and Australia and it seemed to work well then.

Without disrespecting international managers, they only really have to worry about nine or ten matches in a season and three or four of those are friendlies. Next season is a little bit different because it's World Cup year, but even so I reckon he's more than capable of doing it.

Summer

I really hope he stays on and I've got a feeling he will, but we'll have to see what happens over the summer.

Speaking of which, we've only got two shows left this season and I can't wait to have some time off to recharge my batteries.

We don't get to take any holidays during the season so it's great having a massive chunk off in the summer. I've been on the internet looking for places to go and spend a couple of weeks, but there's just so much out there I haven't been able to settle on anything yet.

In fact if anyone has any suggestions of where I should go, or know about any good deals, get in contact and I'll look into it.

I have managed to plan one short trip but that has been in the pipelines for a while. My cousin is getting married in Rome and I'll be flying out as soon as the show is done.

For a while it looked as though it was going to be a double celebration with the Champions League final being played in the same week, but the less said about that the better I think!

Dish

That's about it for this week, but I can't leave without telling you about my new signature dish!

I won't be winning Master Chef with it, because there's not a lot of cooking involved, (which is kind of the beauty) but all you need is a few ingredients. Pasta, prawns, mussels, a gherkin and most importantly Nando's Peri Peri sauce!

Mix it all together and enjoy! It's like a party in your mouth!

Tubes answers your questions

Hi Tubes, who do you reckon has been Chelsea's best player this season? I think it would have been Essien if he hadn't got injured, but super Frank has been quality as well. Michael Peele (Chelsea fan)

TUBES SAYS:I totally agree with you Michael. I think if Essien had been fit all season we would have won the league, that's how important he is. But again like you I would have to say Frank Lampard has been our best player, he's been brilliant all season.

Tripped up twice, oh handball there, that referee he had no hair oooh he needs to contact Austin Healy! Tubes you're a great bloke, but what I want to know is, who's the worst person you've interviewed? James Nelson(Leicester City fan)

TUBES SAYS:That's pretty easy, Simon Pegg. I think he wanted to punch me! I was at a red carpet affair for his new film with Nick Frost. Me and Frost were getting on like a house on fire when he came over so I did a rap for him, but he just turned around and said 'what's this for' and then 'I don't like football so I'm not answering any questions'!

Tubesy!!! I love your one question and never miss the show. My one question for you is what is your favourite fast food?Rose Smith (Liverpool fan)

TUBES SAYS:Hi Rose, glad you enjoy the show. I don't really eat that much fast food anymore. When I was younger I was pretty fat (no that I'm a body builder now!) so I try to avoid fast food.

On the odd occasion I treat myself I tend to go for a Chinese takeaway. I love a bit of chicken chow mein with some curry sauce and you can't beat Singapore noodles either!
