Last week I was in Italy for my cousin's wedding. We were staying just outside of Rome near Napoli so I was able to avoid most of the Manchester United fans.
Fortunately, we were also clear of the booze ban so I was up in the mountains getting lashed!
I had a lovely time at the wedding - the scenery was the best I have ever seen in my life, unbelievable. It was also nice getting up in the morning and heading straight for the pool. It made a bit of a change to going to Isleworth and Sky HQ every day!
It'll probably be the last time I go there, though. It's the place everybody goes to get married (beautiful gardens and all that) so not really somewhere you would go with a group of lads for a big session.
Champions League shock
I caught the second half of the Champions League final and couldn't believe Barcelona won. Man U didn't really look up for it which surprised me, because I thought they would smash them.
I watched Barcelona play Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and thought we were much better than them so assumed Man U would have beaten them, but they just didn't perform.
Chelsea would have won the final if United had played like that!
However, I was back from Italy in time to go to Wembley on Saturday to see the boys lift the FA Cup. That was a great day out, and I always thought we would come back after Louis Saha scored.
Sad to see Hiddink go
We deserved to win that trophy and it was also a good send off for Guus Hiddink.
I wish he could have stayed on as manager but it wasn't really an option in the end.
I think Carlo Ancelotti is alright but then I thought Luiz Felipe Scolari was supposed to be good! I hope Ancelotti will do well, but I don't want to start bigging him up like I did with Scolari!
I spent Sunday chillaxing in the sunshine and I suspect I'll be meeting up with Trev and some of the other guys from the show for a few beers during the week.
