Fun in the sun
First things first, sorry I haven't been in touch in the last couple of weeks
Last updated: 20th August 2009
Muzzy Izzet was different class and absolutely bossed it in midfield. I told him I thought he should still be playing because the way he passes the ball he honestly doesn't need to run that much. He could be the new Jan Molby!

Quotes of the week
I've been all over the place but it does mean that I've got a lot to tell you about!
I went over to Italy again for a few days to visit my cousin in Rome and had an absolute ball. We mainly played golf at a resort just outside of the capital and I'm really getting into it.
The resort was really nice but I felt a bit out of place there because it was full of businessmen who were more than happy to pay £9 for a pint at the 19th hole!
Still if I wanted a cheap pint I would have just gone to my local, it was all about the golf in Italy and I'm pleased to say that my game is coming on a bit.
Testimonial
I probably should have been working on my passing rather than my golf swing though, because I played one the biggest matches of my life on Saturday, Terry Skiverton's testimonial!
I came on about five minutes into the second half and my nerves got the better of me at first. I was playing left-wing and the first time the ball came my way all the fans watching started going 'oooooohhhhhhhhhhhh'. I absolutely bricked myself and let it roll under my foot!
From then on though I was OK and thankfully I didn't disgrace myself. I was playing for Terry's Select XI and we were up against Yeovil's 2003 promotion winning team, including John Terry's brother, Paul.
John was supposed to be there as well, but I think he had other things on his mind with all the Manchester City speculation. I don't really know what to make of it if I'm honest, but I've obviously got my fingers crossed that he doesn't leave Chelsea.
The game finished 4-4 so everyone went home happy, and even though JT didn't turn up there were still enough stars on show. Muzzy Izzet was different class and absolutely bossed it in midfield.
He's retired now because of his knees, but he still looked like a brilliant player to me. I told him I thought he should still be playing because the way he passes the ball he honestly doesn't need to run that much. He could be the new Jan Molby!
Oasis
Tonight I'm going to watch Oasis at Wembley stadium, which I can't wait for. Kasabian and The Enemy are supporting them and I'm a massive fan of both of them too, so it's the perfect line-up for me.
There's about eight of us going so it should be a good night, and Oasis never disappoint live... to say I'm excited would be the mother of all understatements!
I've only got a couple more weeks left of my holiday, but I'll be spending it in the best way possible... on a beach in Thailand.
I leave on Saturday for two weeks and although about four of those days will be wasted travelling there's still plenty of time to just relax... I can't wait!
Speak to you in a few weeks.
Later,
