Nelson: True Blue
"My whole family support Arsenal so I went to see them but it was the time of Alan Ball and '1-0 to the Arsenal' and it was just rubbish."

Quotes of the week
Trevor Nelson, like Cerys Matthews, has had a 12-year Soccer AM hiatus - it was about time we got him back on the show!
It's been a busy 12 years for the DJ and presenter, as he explained.
"I've been busy. Obviously I had The Lick on MTV, which ran for eleven years. It had just started when I last came on this show I think.
"It was the longest running MTV show but now it is gone. I do a radio show for Radio 1Xtra. I do the breakfast show five days a week, Radio1 on a Saturday and Radio 2 on a Wednesday and I've just finished an NFL show - so it has been a busy few years!"
Asked to pick whether he preferred TV or radio, Nelson had a clear favourite.
"I love radio," he said. "You get up, go into the studio and you don't have to wear anything special because it is all about how you sound. And I do love talking which helps!"
Nelson is a huge Chelsea fan - but, growing up in Hackney, it could have been any one of a number of clubs.
"My dad took me to see Spurs when I was young and they won 7-2 against Nottingham Forest, but despite that I just wasn't impressed!
"My whole family support Arsenal so I went to see them but it was the time of Alan Ball and 1-0 to the Arsenal and it was just rubbish.
"Then I went to see Leyton Orient but the thing was I liked the Chelsea kit and that's what matters when you're a kid.
"They were in the second division and I saw them play against either Burnley or Bolton or someone like that and from then on it was Chelsea all the way.
"I think I wanted to look different at school where everyone supported Arsenal or Spurs. I wanted to be the only kid with the Chelsea kit."
Title challenge
Now Nelson is desperate for the Blues to reclaim the league title, after seeing Manchester United finish top of the pile for the past three seasons.
"I think this season we are going to win the Premier League or the Champions League at the expense of the other.
"The Champions League seems to be a poisoned chalice for Chelsea. The moment John Terry hit the post in the final I just looked at it and thought 'we are never going to do this'.
"I would prefer for us to win the Premier League though, to take it off Manchester United.
"I would do anything for Chelsea to win the Premier League...anything!"
