Both riders won four heats for the Pirates; Ward (14+1 points) finished with a paid maximum and Hancock (12) remained unbeaten on the night.
It was a dominant performance from the Pirates, with Thomas H Jonasson adding 10+3 points and six of the seven riders winning at least one heat.
In contrast, Piotr Swiderski top scored for the Hammers with eight points.
The Pirates now make the trip to Belle Vue Aces next Monday with their play-off hopes still alive.
"Normally at Poole every year the team spirit is good, but this year it's pretty special," said Ward.
"I can't wait to come here every week and be in the pits with the boys and race... Tonight's one of our finest performances of the year."
In Monday's other Elite League fixture, Wolverhampton Wolves earned a 48-42 success away at Belle Vue Aces.
Fredrik Lindgren was the Wolves' leading scorer with two heat victories in his 9+2 haul, while Craig Cook's paid maximum (14+1) failed to prevent defeat for the Aces.
