Sun: Keen to stay
I would like to extend my stay at the club.
Manchester City utility man Sun Jihai has confirmed he would like to stay at the club beyond the end of the season.
The China international, who joined City back in 2002 from Dalian Wanda, is out of contract in the summer.
Although Sun is down Sven Goran Eriksson's pecking order at the moment - following an influx of signings during the close season - he is determined to play a role in the team.
With less than half of the new season played, Sun knows his time will come to impress and is looking to grasp any chance that comes his way.
"I am very happy to fight for my place at City," he told the club's official website.
"It's a long season and the manager is going to need to call on many players, and with my versatility I know I could be a big part of that.
"My contract is up at the end of the season, and I would like to extend my stay at the club."
