Charlton boss Alan Pardew has revealed that Cory Gibbs will not be offered a new deal this summer.

The American defender signed a pre-contract with The Addicks in May 2006 but he has yet to feature for the first-team.

His progress has been hindered by a succession of injuries and Pardew has confirmed that his time with the club is now coming to an end.

"Cory's had terrible injury problems here and unfortunately he's never really got going," Pardew told reporters.

"He will go to pastures new and hopefully have better luck than he did here. I wish him all the best."

Gibbs has had serious knee problems and broke three metatarsal bones in a reserve match last October.

He has earned 19 caps for his country and will now be hoping to hoping to get his career back on track.
