Charlton have confirmed that they are yet to conclude a loan deal for Portsmouth defender Linvoy Primus.

The Addicks admit they are likely to wait for the loan window to re-open on Monday next week before finalising the move.

Primus trained with Charlton last week but he will be forced to wait before making his debut for the club.

"We feel he's not quite fit at the moment, although he's in great shape physically, so we're just monitoring it all at the moment," Addicks boss Alan Pardew, who has worked with the player before at Barnet and Reading, told the club's official website.

"There's just a little bit more discussing to go on, but I can tell Charlton fans he will definitely be coming here, definitely for three months, and maybe a bit longer."
