Howard: Set to return
Striker Steve Howard is available for Leicester's home game against bottom club Crewe after serving a one-match suspension.
The Foxes leapfrogged Scunthorpe at the top of the table in Howard's absence on Saturday with a 2-1 win over the Iron at Glanford Park.
Manager Nigel Pearson must decide whether to restore Howard to the starting line-up or let DJ Campbell keep his place after impressing on his first start since suffering a pelvic problem in September.
Pearson will make a late decision on the fitness of goalkeeper Paul Henderson (groin) and defender Marc Edworthy (knee) after they sustained injuries at the weekend.
David Martin and Jack Hobbs, who are both on loan from Liverpool, are on stand-by.
Goalkeeper Stuart Tomlinson will make his first league appearance for Crewe since Boxing Day 2006 against Leicester at the Walkers Stadium.
Tomlinson has recovered from the cruciate knee ligament injury he sustained on loan at Burton last season and will regain his place in the side at the expense of Steve Collis.
Caretaker manager Dario Gradi is also expected to recall Michael O'Connor to the starting line-up after the midfielder missed the 3-0 home defeat to Stockport through suspension.
Stuart Green was substituted after just 18 minutes on Saturday after suffering a hamstring injury and is out.
Kenny Lunt, who rejoined Crewe on loan from Sheffield Wednesday last week, replaced Green against Stockport and is expected to start on the right-hand side of midfield.
Gradi will check on the fitness of Calvin Zola after athletes foot ruled out the striker at the weekend.
