McFadden: Staying positive
James McFadden is sure his strike partnership with Kenny Miller will soon provide Scotland with a cutting edge.
McFadden and Miller have played alongside each other just twice since manager George Burley was appointed as national team boss, with their first outing against Northern Ireland ending in a 0-0 stalemate.
The Scots also struggled in front of goal on Saturday as they opened their 2010 World Cup qualifying campaign with a 1-0 defeat to Macedonia.
But Birmingham forward McFadden is sure he and Miller will soon deliver as the side prepare for Wednesday's trip to Iceland.
He said: "The goals will come. I enjoyed playing alongside Kenny, even though the conditions were difficult and we couldn't link as much.
"Hopefully, it will click soon and we will start scoring goals.
"We just have to march on to Iceland and try to keep positive. We just need to win the next seven games.
"It was very disappointing in Macedonia. I think we deserved to take something from the game but that's just the way it goes and now we have to pick ourselves up for Iceland."
