Props Karl Temata and Daniel Heckenberg and centre Matt Gafa have all signed contract extensions with Harlequins.

New Zealander Temata has agreed to stay for a further two years, keeping him at the Twickenham Stoop until the end of the 2010 campaign.

Australians Heckenberg and Gafa have both committed themselves to Super League's capital club for next season. Quins also have an option to keep the pair for a second year.

Head coach Brian McDermott, who himself signed a new long-term deal recently, is delighted that three key members of his squad are staying put.

"As well as promoting our young English players we want to keep some continuity in our team," he said.

"These guys have been three of our top performers over the last 18 months and I am really pleased that we are keeping three players that care deeply about our club."
