Bradford full-back Michael Platt will miss the rest of the regular engage Super League season after being handed a three-match ban.

The former Salford and Castleford player was found guilty of head-butting and throwing punches when he appeared before the Rugby Football League's disciplinary panel on Tuesday.

In addition to his ban, which rules him out of all three of the Bulls' remaining League games, Platt was fined £300. The suspension means he will only play for his club again this year if they reach the play-offs.

Platt, who is in Ireland's World Cup squad, was sin-binned for his part in a flare-up in the early stages of Bradford's 28-18 defeat by Leeds last Friday but was also subsequently charged with a grade D offence.

Meanwhile, Hull's Great Britain winger Gareth Raynor will miss his club's trip to Bradford on Sunday after being found guilty of striking.

Raynor, cited for the offence during Hull's 30-24 home defeat by Huddersfield on Sunday, was handed a one-match ban and a £300 fine.

It means he will be free to play in the Carnegie Challenge Cup final against St Helens on August 30.
