Catalans second row forward Jamal Fakir's season could be ended by the RFL's disciplinary panel on Tuesday night.

The 25-year-old France international has been charged with a reckless high tackle during the Dragons' 22-20 win over Huddersfield on Saturday and could be suspended for the rest of the season.

Fakir, who was playing his first game after recovering from an elbow injury, faces a grade C charge which carries a suspension of up to four matches.

The Dragons have two games left of the regular season before going into their first-ever play-off match, probably against Bradford Bulls, in Perpignan on September 13.

Striking charge

Wigan full-back Richard Mathers, sent off for the second time in his side's 32-22 win over Wakefield, will also appear in front of the disciplinary committee on a charge of striking with his forearm.

Castleford hooker Scott Moore, who was sin-binned for a late tackle on Leeds skipper Kevin Sinfield in the Tigers' defeat at Headingley on Friday, has also been charged with using his forearm in the tackle.
