Liam Colbon will leave Wigan Warriors at the end of the season after signing a two-year contract with Hull KR.

The 24-year-old has been an ever-present for the Warriors this season before missing the Super League play-off win over Bradford Bulls due to illness.

Colbon said: "It's great to be facing a new challenge next season and I have been impressed with what Justin (Morgan) has had to say about Hull Kingston Rovers.

"It's exciting for me as a player to join such a progressive club and help them to succeed in their bid for silverware."

Colbon's arrival will fill the spot vacated by Jon Steel, whose contract will not be renewed at New Craven Park.

Coach Justin Morgan said: "2008 has proved to be a big year for Liam. He has established a regular starting position in the first team and has gained invaluable experience."

Colbon is the second winger to leave the JJB in a matter of weeks after Mark Calderwood announced he will join Hull.
