Derby manager Paul Jewell is considering offering a deal to Latvian forward Andrey Pereplotkin.

The 23-year-old Latvia international, currently with Skonto FC, impressed while on trial this week and caught the eye again in the Rams' 2-2 draw with FC Utrecht.

Jewell told the club's official website: "He did very well in training on Thursday and Friday and has done well again (against Utrecht).

"We'll see what the situation is."

Derby warmed up for next Saturday's clash at home against Doncaster with a 2-2 draw against the Dutch side with goals from Kris Commons and a Nathan Ellington penalty.
