Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that exciting forward Robin van Persie has broken his foot.
The Holland international did not play in Saturday's FA Cup win over Cardiff City and will be missing for some time.
"We lost van Persie with a foot problem, a broken foot," Wenger told Sky Sports News.
"So he will not play for a while but Jose Antonio Reyes should be available [for the Carling Cup tie against Wigan Athletic].
"Of course, we've lost Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Eboue, who have gone to the African Cup of Nations.
"Thierry Henry is not off, he is working hard in training, but he won't play."
The Gunners' clash with Wigan is live on Sky Sports 1 on Tuesday night.
