Galatasaray have confirmed that they have signed defender Emmanuel Eboue from Arsenal on a four-year contract.

Skysports.com revealed earlier on Tuesday that a deal for the Ivory Coast international had been agreed.

And in a statement issued on their official website, the Turkish giants stated that they have paid the English club a transfer fee of €3.5million and also outlined the salary the Ivorian will receive in each of his four years in Istanbul.

"The transfer fee that will be paid to Arsenal is €3.5million," the statement read.

Agreed

"For 2011-12 and 2012-13, the player will receive €2.5m for each season and then €2.2m for each of the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons."

The Gunners also released a statement on their official website in which they said: "Arsenal have agreed terms with Turkish side Galatasaray for the transfer of Emmanuel Eboue."

The 28-year-old moved to north London from Belgian club Beveren in 2005 and helped the Gunners reach the final of the UEFA Champions League in 2006.

He established himself as an important member of Arsene Wenger's squad with the ability to play both in defence and in midfield, but had been struggling for regular first-team football in recent times.

Eboue is the fourth player to leave the Emirates this summer after Gael Clichy, Denilson and Cesc Fabregas.
