FALKIRK have taken Newcastle United youngster David McMahon on a month's trial, after being impressed by the striker's performances in the reserve team at the Tyneside club.

Newcastle boss Bobby Robson is keen for the Dublin-born front man to get some first team experience, and has therefore agreed to allow him to move north of the border.
"I've spoken to Bobby Robson and his reserve team coach Tommy Craig and they're both quite happy to let the boy play for us for a month or so," said Totten last week.
"It's really up to the player himself now and I hope to have a chat with him later today (Thursday) to see if a deal can be done."
Meanwhile, Magpies boss Robson has temporarily trimmed his squad further, by allowing midfielder Gary Brady to have a second loan spell at Norwich City.
The former Scotland Under 18 international spent a spell with The Canaries last term and has been called again due to the spate of injuries at Carrow Road.
