MOTHERWELL have accepted a bid from Wigan Athletic for the services of midfielder Ged Brannan.

The former Tranmere man will hold talks with the Lancashire outfit this week, with a view to completing a return to England.

Although the fee has not been disclosed yet, it is believed to be in the region of £175,000.

Well initially rejected Wigan`s first bid for the 29-year-old, but the transfer has now been given the green light by the Scottish Premier League side.

Meanwhile, Reggiana keeper Raffaele Nuzzo is reported to be on trial at The JJB Stadium.

The former Internazionale and Coventry man will be hoping to impress manager Bruce Rioch and earn a permanent contract.
