PAOLO DI CANIO'S agent has confirmed to planetfootball.com that Leeds United are interested in offering the Italian maverick a return to The Premiership.
After revealing that he had held initial talks with the Yorkshire outfit, Matteo Roggi stated that newly-promoted Serie A outfit Siena are also interested in securing the services of the former West Ham idol.
However, Roggi insisted that Di Canio heavily favoured a return to England over a switch to Siena.
"We are talking to a couple of clubs, one in England and one in Italy," said Roggi.
"The club in England is Leeds and in Italy it is Siena.
"There is nothing concrete at the moment.
"Paolo's first choice would be to play in England. That would always be his first choice.
"I am having well-earned holidays at the moment, but we will try and sort things out after that."
Di Canio is a free agent after being released by The Hammers at the end of last season following their unsuccessful battle to avoid relegation from the Premiership.
The colourful 34-year-old spent over four years at Upton Park after joining from Sheffield Wednesday, and could now be set to resurrect his career in England at Elland Road.
