GILLINGHAM midfielder Simon Osborn is hoping to secure a new contract.
The former Crystal Palace star is out of contract in the summer and he is now entering talks with The Gills.
"I have got a meeting with the chairman and we'll have to see what happens from there," he told the club's official website.
"I have been trying to speak to him for the last month and been unable to do it for one reason or another.
"Hopefully after the meeting I'll know whether there is something we can do contract wise and whether or not I'll be staying at Gillingham Football Club."
Meanwhile, Gillingham have been granted planning permission for their proposed new 'Brian Moore' Stand.
"It's fantastic news for the football club and I would like to thank the planning committee for granting us planning permission," said chairman Paul Scally.
