FC Twente maintained their 100 per cent record to stay top of the Eredivisie, while NEC, Utrecht and RKC Waalwijk all won too.

Twente had started the day in second place behind Ajax but they were in fine form to climb back to the summit.

Bryan Ruiz opened the scoring for Twente and Luuk de Jong added the second. Ahmed Musa halved the deficit for VVV Venlo but further strikes from Marc Janko and De Jong sealed the win.

Fifth

Evander Sno and Adil Auassar scored goals in either half for RKC Waalwijk to go fifth, but they were unable to keep a clean sheet as Anthony Lurling scored a last-minute consolation for Breda.

Two rapid goals from NEC Nijmegen by Lasse Schone and Nick van der Velder gave them an early advantage against Heracles Almelo. However, Glynor Plet struck on the stroke of half-time to reduce their arrears.

In the late game, Mads Junker put Roda JC ahead early on but they were blown away by the Utrecht response. Tomas Oar levelled a minute before half-time, and after the interval strikes from Rodney Sneijder and Jacob Mulenga sealed the comeback.
