Grant: No comment on future

Avram Grant declined to comment on his future at Chelsea ahead of the UEFA Champions League final against Manchester United.

There has been mass speculation about Chelsea boss Grant's standing at Stamford Bridge as it is rumoured he is set to leave West London in the summer.

However, ahead of Chelsea's meeting with United in Moscow on Wednesday, a match which can be seen live on Sky Sports 1, Grant preferred to focus on the final.

Asked whether he would walk away from the club after the clash with United, he told a press conference live on Sky Sports News on Tuesday: "Why?

"We are here today 11 days after the league (finished). If it was a normal season for Chelsea we would be on vacation.

Respect

"We are here because we are here for the most important game for clubs in the world, the Champions League final.

"You need to respect everyone at Chelsea and ask questions about the final, not about me."

Meanwhile, Grant is expecting another tense meeting with United after narrowly missing out by two points to their domestic rivals in the Premier League title race.

"Manchester United are a very good team and they had a very good season," Grant continued. "It is not easy to score against them and their forward players are very good.

Danger

"They are dangerous as a team because they are a very balanced team. They had a very good season, they took the championship, what more can you say?

"You can prepare yourself for many situations, but you cannot know exactly what it will be. It will be a good game between two good teams."

Grant also hopes that Chelsea can secure the silverware in Moscow in order to fulfil the 'dream' of the club's Russian owner Roman Abramovich.

"He (Abramovich) wanted to be in the final it was his dream," Grant added.

"But it was the dream of each supporter and every player, especially in the last year, to be in the final of the Champions League, for him it is very special."
