Dickson: England call-up
England have added up Lee Dickson, Shane Geraghty and Magnus Lund to their squad to face Italy on Sunday.
With David Strettle, Mike Tindall, Tom Rees and Lewis Moody all ruled out of the trip to Rome, coach Brian Ashton has moved to bolster his initial training squad with the trio.
Uncapped Newcastle scrum-half Dickson previously represented Scotland Under-19s, before winning honours for England Under-21s and the Saxons.
Geraghty, who made an immediate impression after making his England debut in last season's Six Nations tournament, is promoted from the Saxons after his man-of-the-match display in the 31-13 victory over Ireland.
Sale flanker Lund has been on the fringes of the England side for past few seasons and will add options to the back row with Rees and Moody missing.
Ashton is due to name his starting line-up for Rome on Wednesday afternoon.
