The Prizefighter tournament format will feature four quarter-finals, two semi-finals and a final - all staged on one night with each contest lasting a maximum of three rounds. The winner will take home the top prize of £25,000.
Then Hatton will put his IBO belt on the line against fellow former IBF light-welterweight champion Malignaggi in front of the Sky Box Office cameras and in high definition on Sky Box Office HD.
Sky Sports followed Hatton as he turned professional in 1997 and has shown many of his defining fights live including his British title victory, the defeat of Kostya Tszyu for the IBF light-welterweight world title, becoming two-weight world champion with his win over Luis Collazo, and his biggest fight to date against Mayweather.
