Maciej Zurawski insists he is not looking to leave Celtic before the close of the transfer window.

The Polish striker has been linked with a return to former club Wisla Krakow after Gordon Strachan increased his attacking options over the summer.

Zurawski has not featured for the Scottish champions since the opening weekend draw with Kilmarnock, but is now targeting a recall after shaking off a foot injury.

While admitting he may consider his future in January, the experienced forward plans to spend the first half of the season at Parkhead.

Staying put

"I'll stay in Glasgow and fight for my place in the Celtic attack," Zurawski said in the Scottish Sun.

"I am back in training after a foot injury and I hope to at least be on the bench for Saturday's game against Hearts.

"Wisla will always be close to my heart, but for now I'll stay with Celtic.

"You never say never and maybe in the winter I'll have to consider my situation.

"But at the moment I won't even think of that.

"There are a lot of strikers at Celtic and every day I have to fight for my place."
