Leeds United scored a last-gasp winner against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground to pile more misery on winless Forest.

Forest had yet to score a goal going into the game, while Leeds went into the game with a 100% record.

In one of the biggest clashes ever to take place in the third tier of English football, Leeds took the lead through Congolese striker Tresor Kandol, who drilled the ball home after 17 minutes.

However, Forest found their way back into the game and got their reward just after half-time, when Kris Commons' 49th-minute free-kick swung into the goal from the right to level the scores and give the home side their first goal of the season.

But an 89th-minute strike from close range from Jermaine Beckford was enough to secure all three points for Dennis Wise's side.

The result leaves Forest with two points, while Leeds now have minus six.
