Mifsud: Really happy

Michael Mifsud admits he is 'really happy' after scoring the goals which knocked Manchester United out of the Carling Cup.

The Coventry City striker netted in each half at Old Trafford to secure a shock 2-0 win in the third round of the competition.

Mifsud, who could have had a hat-trick, was delighted with his own contribution, and also praised the efforts of his team-mates in the victory over the Premier League champions.

"I'm really happy I got my goals," Mifsud told Sky Sports News.

"We won as a team. I think the whole team played really well - the back four were fantastic, the midfield players were great and were running their heads off.

"Everybody did really well and I'm really happy."

Wonderful

Coventry took over 11,000 fans to Old Trafford and Malta international Mifsud was buoyed by the sizeable travelling support.

He added: "It was something big for me to play there.

"It's a great stadium, great players to play against and a great atmosphere. It was wonderful.

"It was really great seeing all the people in blue shirts. I would like to thank them, it was really nice."
