Russia coach focused on England

Russia coach Guus Hiddink has demanded his players adopt a serious attitude for their crunch Euro 2008 qualifier against England on Wednesday.

Hiddink's side meet England in Moscow, a game which can be seen live on Sky Sports 1 from 3.30pm, knowing three points are vital to their hopes of progression from qualifying Group E.

Russia slumped to a 3-0 Wembley defeat to England, who have won their last five qualifiers by the same margin, in September and Hiddink is well aware of the difficult task his side faces.

"We are playing a very serious match against very serious opposition," said Hiddink.

Spirit

"England have really proved themselves in the last few games.

"We must control the game for the whole 90 minutes and to achieve that we need to find the balance between defence and attack.

"In short, we need to demonstrate all our best qualities and also hope that England won't play as well as in their recent games.

"I want my young players to play the kind of attacking football that complements their spirit."
