Dyer: Injury comeback

Kieron Dyer has targeted a return to the West Ham first-team before the end of the season.

The midfielder has been sidelined ever since he suffered a double break of his leg in the Carling Cup tie with Bristol Rovers on 28th August.

However, Dyer - who joined West Ham in the summer following a £6million switch from Newcastle - is confident he will return to action within six months.

"I never doubted that I would be able to recover," Dyer told Sky Sports News.

"There have been a couple of players who have had a double break of the leg and they made a full recovery.

"It's quite a simple operation and the operation went well. I'm just playing it by ear now and taking it day by day.

"I'm starting to pick-up the rehab now and fingers crossed I will feature before the season is up."
