Morten Olsen insists he will not quit as coach of Denmark.

The Danes have a very slim chance of qualifying for Euro 2008 following their recent 3-1 defeat to Spain.

Denmark did record a victory over Latvia by the same margin on Wednesday, but it is unlikely they will be appearing in Austria and Switzerland next summer.

Olsen's side trail second placed Spain by five points in qualifying Group F and are six behind leaders Sweden, prompting calls from the Danish media for the coach to quit.

Future

However, Olsen - who has been coaching Denmark since 2001 - insists he will not be going anywhere.

"I am not on the road away from my job," said Olsen.

"There is a lot of future in the present squad and I have faith that we will soon be back in the (Euro championship) matches.

"Let us be realistic. We have big ambitions, but we're a small soccer nation.

"Even a great soccer nation like England is in the same situation as we are in their group."
