United boss critical of Arsenal costs

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has slammed Arsenal for 'obscene' ticket prices ahead of Saturday's Premier League showdown, which is live on Sky Sports 1.

United and Arsenal face each other at Emirates Stadium on Saturday lunchtime in a top-of-the-table clash and the rivalry has now spread to seat prices.

Sports Minister Gerry Sutcliffe has angered Ferguson following his recent criticism of Old Trafford admission costs.

However, Ferguson has hit back by comparing United's £44 top cost seat to Arsenal's £94.

Inaccurate

"Prices at Arsenal and Chelsea are obscene, almost double our prices," Ferguson said in The Sun.

"I object to the Sports Minister coming out with this stuff about ticket pricing and United.

"I thought that was unfair and inaccurate. He's based down in London so I'm sure he knows where Arsenal and Chelsea are.

"I'm sure he must know the ticket prices so I don't know why he is picking on Manchester United."
